We are fans of French cuisine and/or cycling who meet three evenings a year to enjoy some of both. Each evening features a menu of six courses taken from the regions through which the Tour de France passes. John Grochau of Grochau Cellars will match each course with a regional French wine or a wine of his own. Almost all of our ingredients are from local, organic growers and ranchers, sometimes including our own "micro-farm." The cheese is French, no apologies. Portions will be ample, but if you want seconds, just ask. We recommend going for a good, hard ride before dinner. These will be full-service, sit-down meals. We will be dining in the Grochau Cellars winery warehouse. Dress appropriately, it may be cool. Technology willing, we'll have the full-length Versus coverage of that day's stage up on a big screen. (Doping jokes will receive wan smiles.) We'll start with champagne cocktails and then seat dinner 30 minutes later. Dinner lasts 3-4 hours, pace yourself.
Rates: $85 per night, includes wine. Reservations: La Musette is limited seating, reservation-only. Please let us know you are coming by calling 503-287-2753 or using the email address below. For evenings that are sold out, we can put your name on the waiting list in case of last-minute cancellations. In order to hold your reservation we ask that you pre-pay at least 50%. You can send a check or use Paypal or give us regular money. We'll send you the details after we hear from you. Once we receive your deposit we'll confirm your reservation and let you the details.
